Junior School Enrolment Update

Term 4 was extremely busy in our Junior School with celebrations of learning and community, Grandparents’ Day, the Symphony of Sounds Ensemble Concert, the farewell of our outgoing Junior School Parent Group (JSPG) leaders and the welcome of the incoming 2025 JSPG leaders, the JSPG Movie Night, our focus on kindness to self and others as well as the Years 1 to 2 Celebration of Learning!

Each of our girls had the exciting experience of seeing what her learning will be like in 2025. We were so proud of the courage and Pymble spirit our girls demonstrated as they moved into their new grade, met their new teachers and began to make new friends. Many girls expressed apprehension to start but by the end of the day, everyone left saying it had been a brilliant day!

In Enrolments, we are busily finalising details for our new girls joining Pymble in 2025. We had a morning of perfect weather, refreshments and fun on Hedgehog Lawn in October for the 2025 Kindergarten Welcome Picnic. We welcomed so many of our new girls and their parents to this relaxed picnic providing opportunities to meet each other and form friendships prior to the first day of school.

Links Day took place the following week with our incoming Year 1 to 6 girls arriving at Pymble to spend the day making links with current Pymble students and teachers as well as meeting other new girls joining the College in 2025. New friendships were further cemented the following day at the Year 1 to 6 Welcome Picnic. It was another morning of perfect weather with many new friendships made between parents.

Starting school or starting at a new school is an exciting yet nervous time for families. There is a lot to remember so our pre-commencement information is thoughtfully curated and conveniently compiled in a digital handbook. The handbook includes key staff names, co-curricular offerings, out of school hours care information, transport and meal options. The Enrolments team are working until Friday, 20 December to answer any questions you may have to ensure a seamless transition.

In early 2025, attention will turn to our 2027 cohort. For families who have submitted an application for enrolment for Kindergarten to Year 6 and hold a provisional place for 2027, we will be commencing the enrolment interview process and will be in contact early next year to invite your family to a Junior Pymble Morning

The Junior Pymble Morning gives girls and their parents the opportunity to meet Mrs Kate Brown, Head of Junior School and attend an interview. Your family will also tour the Junior School and have the chance to meet other new girls and their parents.

Prior to the interview, we require copies of your daughter’s 2023 and 2024 school reports, where applicable. Please provide any medical or educational reports that relate to your daughter’s learning. You may send these to Enrol@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au

“You both went out of your way to make time to meet with us and have many conversations over email. You then ensured the girls’ enrolment and onboarding was seamless, and our family felt so supported during the entire process.

Thank you both so much for all you have done for our family. Seeing our girls happy and safe in this beautiful school reaffirms to us that we made the right decision.” – Mother of twins in Year 2.
