Expert in residence on international study pathways
With many Pymble students keen to explore university options overseas after graduation, we were delighted to welcome Amy Rogers, Consultant with Carney, Sandoe and Associates, to Pymble during August as our visiting expert in residence to increase our understanding of study pathways to the USA.
Amy brought a wealth of experience from her 15 years at Miss Porter’s School in Connecticut, where she served as Dean of College Counseling and contributed significantly to the school’s Center for Global Leadership. Her leadership extends to roles at several prestigious institutions, including The Taft School and Phillips Academy Andover, where she has influenced college counselling, admissions and educational leadership. She holds a B.A. in English from Bucknell University and an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. With a passion for helping people design their best lives, she is also a certified coach with expertise in positive psychology.
During her stay, Amy presented workshops to a professional network of careers advisors from ICGS Schools on supporting student aspirations for study at US colleges and to parents and students of ICGS Schools on things to think about when considering studying in the USA.
Thank you, Amy, for sharing your valuable advice.
